Many questions remain unanswered following Bobbi Kristina Brown's death on July 27 and perhaps, an autopsy report could just reveal the exact cause of Whitney Houston's only child.
In late January, the 22-year-old daughter was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her Roswell, Ga., home. She never fully regained consciousness and was kept on life support. In March, she was moved to a long-term care facility in the Atlanta area, and in June, she was transferred to hospice after her condition "continued to deteriorate," Pat Houston said. While Bobbi Kristina was in a coma, rumors regarding her health ran rampant.
In a statement on July 27, the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, who confirmed her death said they will also determine "the cause, manner and circumstances" that led to her passing.
The office said on Monday, July 27 that they will look into the death "in accordance with state death investigation laws requiring investigation of known or suspected non-natural deaths'' They added that "despite the long interval between her being found unresponsive and her death, an autopsy will still be necessary to further evaluate possible causes of death or contributing factors."
"The time which has elapsed between the initial event on January 31 and her resulting death will complicate reconstruction of the events surrounding her initial unresponsiveness. Interpretation of autopsyfindings and other information will also be challenging. However, an autopsy could be helpful to address questions which may arise about the cause of her unresponsiveness and eventual death."
The police have opened an investigation on Kristina's death and their majot target s her longtime boyfriend, Nick Gordon who has been served with a $10 million lawsuit by the conservators of her estate.
The autopsy result is expected to be released in a couple of weeks.
