NANS TO OBSERVE FIRST EVER SUG ELECTION E-VOTING EXERCISE IN ONDO

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the apex students' body that is saddled with the responsibility of overseeing the affairs of over 40.1 million Nigerian students, both at home and in diaspora, will on Monday, 29th June, 2015, observe the first ever e-voting exercise for Students' Union Government at the foremost Adeyemi University of Education, Ondo (formerly Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo).

The electronic voting system is aimed at providing a credible and transparent  Students' Union Government election that will be the pride of other African Students' bodies and the cynosure of all eyes. NANS is using this medium to urge the Federal Government of Nigeria to consider this new technological innovation which will go a long way in solving electoral malpractices in Nigeria and save cost. Indeed, Nigeria is ripe for the e-voting system.

We uses this medium to commend the management of Adeyemi University of Education, Ondo for this progressive innovation in the 21st century.

NANS reiterates its pledge and full commitment that we are poised to place Nigerian schools on a higher pedestal where it will become the cynosure of all eyes, the pride of the globe and the envy of the modern world, free of any and all forms of electoral misdemeanours.
