The matter is being probed to determine where the leak came from – whether from the seat of power or from General Buhari's camp.
The Presidency has begun investigations to uncover the person or persons behind the leak of the acclaimed telephone conversation between Nigeria's incumbent President,Goodluck Jonathan and President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari.
Jonathan had called Buhari to congratulate him on his victory in the Presidential election last week, but surprisingly, the audio recording leaked online via a Twitter handle@EveryNigerian.
According to a Punch Villa source, the leak was an embarrassment to the Presidency. The matter is however being probed to determine where the leak came from – whether from the seat of power or from General Buhari's camp.
"Definitely, unauthorised release of a raw recording of the President's telephone conversation, if from our (Presidency's) end is a security breach that cannot go without being investigated," the source said.
