THE BEGINNING OF THE END

CAPTURED

There is a land in the heart of Africa
A land so rich in mineral resources
There is a land fecund and enthralling
Leaving slave master no option than to arise
And this became the beginning of the end

There is a land with socio cultural prominence
Drawing its strength directly from nature
There is a land flowing with milk and honey
Increasing in value without regret
And this became the beginning of the end

JOY OF INDEPENDENCE: THEIR STORY
This is the beginning of the end.
Tears of joy ran through our faces
We are so glad we are taking over our spaces
In our different rooms we sang new songs
Old and young reaching for their gongs

This is the beginning of the end.
The raging war of slavery is over
We can now flow freely as the river
No more slave masters like monster
For the slave is now his own master

This is the beginning of the end.
Our time has come, no more subjugation
For we all are free from dejection
Yes we did make the right decision
And now we would be a topic of discussion

OUR STORY

This is the beginning of the end
Like sheep we wander about the city
In search of fortune or gahnite
We live in fear and insecurity
Running from a crime we know nothing about

This is the beginning of the end
Justice became a scarce commodity
But not as expensive as rest of mind
An environment free to air
Now became a sphere where we live in fear
This is the beginning of the end
Children walk round the street without shoes
Blaming no one for their pains
Many houses without roofs
Yet our leaders live in planes

This is the beginning of the end
We became our own pain
Making hunger decide our fate
Blaming our heroes for chasing the whites
Just like we have no brain

This is the beginning of the end
Quality education became history
Nothing seems working
The best the church could do is tell story
Yet, we can't just continue talking

This is the beginning of the end
We have them all, yet we lack them all
No light despite the shinning sun
No fresh air in spite of the tall trees around
We have the Niger, yet we pay for water.

MY TENACITY
For how long shall we cry?
Stand up with a powerful mind
I am sure we are not that dry
Let's speak our wishes to the wind
This is the beginning of the end

We are our own heroes
Why must we continue in sorrow?
We can't afford to fail the next generation
With or without school we must deliver
This is the beginning of the end

Blame no government or system
That's the best they think they could do
Say no negative words to your home
For it takes many years to build Rome
This is the beginning of the end

I have a dream, that one day,
Justice shall prevail
Peace shall be here
Victory shall be ours
Love shall reign
Our past heroes shall be proud of us and
CARS SHALL BE SOLD FOR #7000,
For this is the beginning of the END.
