Ondo State Police Command has nabbed a syndicate of oil vandals who are suspected to have killed some policemen in an attack at the Arepo/Abule Oba in Ogun state as well as made away with their rifles.
It will be recalled that some suspected vandals reportedly shot dead two policemen and abducted two others during a gun battle, at the Arepo pipeline on Sunday night.
According to a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Wole Ogodo, the five suspects aged between 29 and 41 years are from Ajapa and Mile-2 Zion, in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of the state.
He noted that the sum of N600,000 believed to be proceeds of bunkering was recovered from them, while further interrogation revealed that arms carted away are with one of their members.
The command however assured that it will fish out the rest of the culprits and make them pay for their crimes.
