The Ondo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) yesterday suspended four teachers and some students of St. Ambrose Catholic Secondary School, Ondo Town.
Chairman of TESCOM, Dr Bakkita Bello, made this known during an inspection tour of the school in Ondo West Local Government Area.
He said the suspension followed the absence of the affected teachers and students during the visit.
"By the powers conferred on the commission, we hereby suspend indefinitely the teachers and runaway students.
I want the teachers to report to our headquarters in Akure unfailingly.
We saw some students running away after sighting us and a lot of unprofessional conducts perpetrated by some teachers in this school," he said.
