Report reaching us has it that there was explosion in Jos on Saturday evening. A resident told our correspondent that the explosion was heard along Bauchi road at a football viewing centre.
According to report, the suicide bomber was on his way to attack an open air viewing centre when it exploded and killed him.
Reuters reports that the bomber was aiming at attacking a popular viewing Centre where people were watching the UEFA champions league final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, but failed to get there before his car exploded.
Confirming the incident, a lawmaker from the area, Bitrus Kaze said it was true but could not confirm if there was any casualty at the moment.
This is coming barely two weeks after similar incident claimed several lives in the state.
