Mr. Andrew Igwe Ugwumba has been redeployed to take over as the new commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ondo State Command.
The command's spokesperson, ASC I Kayode A. Balogun, made the disclosure in a statement he issued to newsmen on Thursday in Akure.
He said that Ugwumba, who until the redeployment has served in various commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps among which he was deployed from Zone 'E' Headquarters, Owerri where he served last to Ondo State Command.
"The redeployment is part of efforts to strengthen the security in the country.
"The new Commandant Andrew Igwe Ugwumba has a B.sc Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) in Banking and Finance. He is currently pursuing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) in Financial Management.," it said.
Ugwumba who hails from Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra state urged officers of the command and the public to support the NSCDC in its fight against criminals and acts of criminality in the state
