Ekiti Traditional rulers and community leaders in Ekiti State on Friday commended peaceful conduct of Hon. Michael Opeyemi Bamidele of Labour Party, LP over his peaceful conduct in the build-up to the June 21st 2014 gubernatorial election.

The monarchs and chiefs spoke through the Ekiti State Chairman of Council of Traditional rulers and Onitaji of Itaji Ekiti, HRH Oba Adamo Babalola in his palace.

While commending Bamidele, Oba Adamo said ''among the three candidates aspiring to govern Ekiti through the June 2014 polls, I can boldly identify MOB as the most peaceful and one with best conduct so far"
He added that "when I first heard about the crisis that happened at Ilupeju -Ekiti yesterday (Thursday), I was really surprised. But when I confirmed from the DPO himself and he revealed to me that it was MOB's convoy that was attacked and not the order way round, it further reaffirmed my thought about him as a peace-loving man"

Babalola commended Bamidele for assisting sons and daughters of the community before and after his current position as a federal lawmaker in Abuja.
Meanwhile the monarch has indicated his preparedness to call an urgent meeting of all the three guber candidates in Ekiti ahead of the forthcoming June 21st elections in a bid to ensure peace.

He warned that since they are all working for the betterment of the state; there was no need for them to embrace violence and bloodshed.
At the time of filling this report, Bamidele's campaign train has proceeded to Ayegbaju, Oye Ekiti, Imojo, Oloje and Ayede Ekiti, all in Oye local government of Ekiti State
