The party, however, put the blame at the door of the All Progressives Congress, APC, accusing it of carrying out attacks on its members.
Making the clarification, its Media and Publicity Secretary, Bolanle Olatunde-Bruce narrated the ordeal of its members.

"On Thursday April 24, 2014, the Labour Party Campaign Train was attacked by APC thugs at Ilupeju Ekiti."
According to Labour, one APC activist confirmed by the party to be an APC member "led other hoodlums brandishing guns and other dangerous weapons to disrupt our rally."
"We had to take refuge at the palace of the Apeju of Ilupeju-Ekiti, Oba Emmanuel Oniyelu and this can be verified from the palace of the Apeju."
She further explained that "APC thugs attacked us afresh at Itaji Ekiti in Oye local government area", warning that "This is becoming too much. The APC is violence personified and this must stop henceforth."
Besides, she said "This is the tenth time APC thugs would attack our campaign train and we have consistently called on the Inspector General of Police to call the outgoing government of Dr Kayode Fayemi and his party to order before anarchy sets in because nobody has monopoly of violence.
"We have been variously attacked in Isan Ekiti (home town of Dr Kayode Fayemi), Iye Ekiti, Ilawe Ekiti, (home town of the Chief of Staff to the governor), Efon-Alaaye, Iyin Ekiti, Ipole Iloro, Okemesi, Aramoko, Ilupeju (home town of Dr. Ganiyu Owolabi, the Secretary to the State Government) and lately, Itaji Ekiti. We warn the APC and its thugs to stay away from our campaign venues."
"As a peace loving party, we have so far ran the most scientific and issue based campaign in Ekiti. We abhor the continued attack on our campaign train by APC thugs and we insist that this orgy of violence must stop forthwith," the party warned.
