President of the Senate, Senator David Mark has expressed sadness over
the sudden death of Taraba
state speaker Rt. Hon. Haruna Tsokwa saying that the law maker died
when his services were most
needed. Senator Mark in a condolence message to the bereaved family,
the government and people of Taraba
state, said the death of Tsokwa was shocking and devastating. The
Senate President noted that Tsokwa 's exit has created
a vacuum that would be difficult to fill saying that death has
denied the nation his rich experience in parliamentary
practices and procedures . " Tsokwa's death is painful . He was a
very resourceful and promising
parliamentarian. He had a bright future. But the Almighty
creator had a different design for which we cannot question. "
However, we take solace in the fact that late Tsokwa
during his brief but eventful stay on earth gave a good
account of himself and contributed positively to development
of the society. We shall miss his humane and robust
contributions to the parliament. " Senator Mark sympathized with the
government and people
of Taraba State especially the immediate family of the
deceased and prayed that God grant them the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
