ONDO State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, on Friday, disbursed N62 million loans to the state�s civil servants under the state�s Staff Housing Loans Scheme.
� The governor said the gesture was part of his administration�s commitment to workers� welfare and efforts to reposition the public service for better service delivery.
� While presenting cheques to the beneficiaries, Mimiko said the loans would be re-paid in 15 years at three per cent interest rate.
�� A press state said the governor promised that his administration would continue to implement the loan scheme. He said the morale of the state�s workers was very low in 2009 when he came to power because they could not access the kind of financial assistance the new administration is giving them.
According to the governor, repayment would be drawn from monthly salaries of beneficiaries.�
