Barely three days after the fire outbreak that claimed several items, a man suspected to be a bomber was caught at the Obafemi Awolowo Hall of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife today.

The man who identified himself as Adebayo Rasak was caught at noon of Sunday 13th July, while attempting to force open some doors at the Annex C block of the hall.

Items found on him include a set of stove (though wretched but with new wick), a bottle filled with liquid substance suspected to be mixture of petrol and other inflammable liquid substances, some pages of a newspaper, many already used recharge cards of all available mobile networks which he claimed to be selling, all packed in a sack

According to an eye witness, the suspect was caught by a student coming from church who suspected him through his inconsistent movement.

"I followed him till he stopped at Awo annex, block C where he attempted to open some doors. He was then challenged and questioned", a student who simply identified himself as Felix narrated.

Speaking further,Felix said that the suspect's occupation or aim cannot be ascertained but the items on him proves beyond doubt that he is up to a negative task.

"His explanations were incoherent and we couldn't make any logical conclusion from his statement because he was feigning insanity but the collection of items found on him made us conclude that he was responsible for the July 9th fire incident. We concluded further that his mission is to do the same when we were are all out to watch the final match today", Felix stated further.

Students on their return from church service joined their colleagues who have engaged him in futility.

After much questioning,he was released to the university security team and later taken to the Moore Police Station accompanied by some students.
