Omisore Plots To Kill Adeleke, 3 Others – APC

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has accused the Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidate in 9 August 2014 election, Iyiola Omisore of plot to kill the quartet of Alhaji Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke (first civilian governor of Osun), Elder Peter Babalola (aka Peter Action), Chief Olu Abiola and Alhaji Fatai Oyedele.

Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, APC Osun state, Kunle Oyatomi, said in a statement that "Omisore and the PDP have contracted the assassination of four top APC leaders to hired killers from the Niger Delta for immediate execution."

"The leaders involved are Alhaji Isiaka Adeleke (the first civilian governor of the state), Elder Peter Babalola, Chief Olu Abiola and Alhaji Fatai Oyedele. The hired killers, APC reliably gathered, have already commenced surveillance on the four leaders. Very credible inside sources from the PDP itself alerted us that Omisore and top members of his party took this decision at a meeting in Lagos on Thursday.

He said the party was raising an alarm to alert Nigerians.

"We are therefore alerting Nigerians of the horrible dimension to which Omisore's desperation for power has taken. PDP in the state has gone berserk and their diabolical lust for power has become so murderous that they seem to care less about innocent lives.

"The APC therefore alerts Nigerians and all those who care about life and democracy that they should hold Omisore, the Minister of State for Defence, Musuliu Obanikoro, and Police Affairs Minister, Jelili Adesiyan, who are the primary conspirators in this dastardly development responsible for any harm that may come to these APC leaders or any chieftain and members of our party."

Bola Ajao, Osun State Publicity Secretary of PDP denied the allegation against Omisore. He said the APC was only trying to generate trouble.

"The allegation is not only baseless but ridiculous. We are not after anybody's life. They are concocting various lies to discredit the PDP having realised that their time is up in the state," Ajao said.
