Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State will today, Wednesday, formally dissolve the state executive council.

He will also commission the Lokoja Mega Park as part of the projects to wind-down his four-year tenure.

Wada lost his chance to be re-elected for a second term when he was defeated in the November 21 governorship and December 5 supplementary election in Kogi State by the All Progressives Congress, APC. He is presently challenging the declaration of Yahaya Bello, the substitute candidate of the APC, as governor-elect at the tribunal.

Towards his exit from office, the transition committee, headed by Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Olugbemiro Jegede, is also expected to brief Mr. Wada before submitting its document to the governor-elect's transition committee.

The governor's tenure will end on January 26, and would be handing-over power to the Mr. Bello on Wednesday, January 27; which will not give room for another Wednesday weekly exco meeting.

Since losing his re-election, Governor Wada has commissioned the ultra-modern Odu-ogboyaga Specialist hospital, and flagged-off the N4.8 billion Ganaja fly-over bridge.

Aside the motor park to be commissioned today, Wada is also expected to commission the Kogi Hotel; renovated and expanded by his administration.
