Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria slumps, dies at Lagos Airport

The Deputy British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr. Parker, Tuesday, slumped and died at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, MMIA, Lagos.

Leadership reports that Parker who flew into the county aboard an American Airline, took ill while on-board.

The plane had arrived the country from Atlanta Georgia around 4 pm on Tuesday.

Medical personnel attached to the terminal tried to revive him, but without success.

An ambulance was then called in to take Mr. Parker to a morgue.

An eyewitness account recalled that the diplomat grabbed his chest, screaming "my heart".

He slumped before the health officials could reach him.
