We want to inform the public about the postponement of "Call to Worship 2014" due to the announcement made by the Ondo State government to suspend large religious & festival gatherings that may involve people from different parts of the state or the country to prevent the spread of the ebola virus.
This announcement was made on radio & State TV last week & is being aired continuously to ensure that people comply with this information to keep Ondo State safe from the virus.
We called the president of Christian Association Of Nigeria(CAN) Ondo state Chapter,Bishop Ketiku of Christ-Like Assemblies on phone saturday the 6th of september who also confirmed the news & told us the suspension will be on for the next two months.
This will affect the date of the programme which originally was slated for sunday October 12th,2014 at the Government Arcade, Akure ,Ondo State.
This led to this decision which affected the programme "Call to Worship 2014" which we have been planning in a long time and is meant to hold on Sunday 12th October,2014.
We want you to be aware that its not only "Call to Worship" that's affected: Foursquare Gospel Church Convention alongside the dedication of their auditorium in Ondo state and the Lord's Chosen crusade were also cancelled for this same reason according to information reaching us.
This suspension of large gatherings by Ondo state will be on for the next two months and may be extended depending on the news on the ebola virus spread(we pray the spread ends in Jesus name).
When the ban is lifted,we will get back to the International Gospel Artiste "Bob Fitts" to fix another time depending on his schedule. We apologise to the public and all the people who have given us so much to make this event a success.
This situation is beyond our control, we have spent much to secure venue,billboards,website creation,letters etc. Its painful its happening this way but as soon as the ebola scourge is over, the ban lifted and we can ascertain when Bob Fitts will be available, we will begin to plan a bigger and better "Call to Worship" We will carry you along with any developments as you are very important to us. Thank you so much for believing in us.
As law abiding citizens & responsible organisation,the Board of Trustee and Pastorate of Love's Domain Family Assembly deems it fit to help the government in curbing this pestilence ravaging our land.
We feel so sorry for not being able to hold this program at the scheduled time as we are aware that several people are looking forward to this great concert as this would have been the maiden edition in Ondo State.
We appreciate the people who have given towards this programme & we promise to make announcement as soon as possible on the new date for the concert. We certain this postponement will enable us plan a bigger & better one by the time this evil is cleansed completely from our land.
The church will keep marching on & the gates of hell cannot prevail against it. God bless you all in Jesus name We pray too that the virus ebola leaves our land Nigeria & West Africa in Jesus name.
This move by the state government is to protect its citizens from the ebola virus. Ondo state has not recorded any reported case of the virus and does not want the virus in the State.
