PDP Ready to Unseat Mimiko’s Government – Fayose

The Ekiti State Governor elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose today assured members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State that he was ready to give them maximum support in ensuring that the party takes over the state as from 2015 general elections.

Besides, he urged the national leaders of the party not to impose candidates on its members, but they should allow them to choose their own candidates.

Fayose, who spoke at a Victory/Solidarity rally organized for him by PDP Chieftains in Ondo State said the present PDP was now ready to unseat Labour Party (LP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) governments in all South West states.

"In Ondo State, we will be holding rallies every time and I am ready to work for Ondo State to unseat the present government. Those rallies, I will make myself available to canvass for vote for my party in Ondo State and President Goodluck Jonathan. I am not in any leadership tussle with anyone in the South West. I am only interested in the victory of PDP and Jonathan the return of Mr. President".

Fayose, who was accompanied to the rally by the South West PDP Mobilization Committee Chairman, Buruji Kashamu assured the members of victory in Osun State governorship election.

Former PDP governorship candidate in the State, Olusola Oke said LP's ship was now sinking and PDP members in the state were now having the backing of the party national leaders in Abuja.

He boasted that LP days were numbered and the PDP was battle ready to take over the State Assembly and to ensure it wins all National Assembly seats in 2015 general elections.

Former Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan also said the party will welcome any politician who is ready to join PDP but would only kick against those who are outside but claiming to be members of PDP.
