1. Report says the Nigeria Police has commenced massive arrests of illegal immigrants in Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kwara, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa states, in an effort to stop the continuous infiltration of Boko Haram terrorist group into the states.

2. There was tension around Palmgrove and Onipanu areas of the Ikorodu Road in Lagos State on Friday after violence broke out following the killing of a soldier by a BRT bus. His colleagues, while retaliating, destroyed BRT buses and brutalised residents. The lance corporal was identified as Matthew Ishaya, who was said to be riding a power bike when he collided with the BRT bus.

3. Following the failed suicide bombing attempt by a female terrorist, targeted at a military facility in Gombe, troops have arrested three suspected female terrorists who have been quietly recruiting ladies into the female wing of the Boko Haram sect. The suspects identified as Hafsat Bako, Zainab Idris and Aisha Abubakar, were on their way to Madagali from where they would join their male colleagues in the Sambisa forest, but were arrested by the Military.

4. Although, Emir Sanusi Lamido has withrawn his case against the Federal Government, the Federal Government has expressed fear over his next move or action. Reacting to the withdrawal, the FG's counsel, Chief Mike Ozekhome (SAN), told the NIC that although he was not opposing Sanusi's notice of discontinuance, the government was not sure of the former CBN governor's next move, he was not willing to withdraw his pending motion.

5. The kidnapped mother of the Bayelsa State Commissioner for Lands, Furoebi Akene, Mrs Patimi Akene who was whisked away from her residence about three weeks ago has regained her freedom.She was released by her captors on Friday and abandoned at Lobia.

6. Condemning the Friday attack on some BRT buses in Lagos by some soldiers, Governor Fashola said it was unfortunate that soldiers could destroy buses that were inadequate for commuters in the state, stating that investigation into the incident would be concluded before the state government takes necessary action.

7. The ongoing strike by the Nigerian resident Doctors may be called off on Monday after the NMA emergency meeting with the FG ended on a good note on Friday. The Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu said this during a press briefing in Abuja.

8. After Eight-one days since the abduction of the chibok Schoolgirls, seven parents of the abducted girls have died of trauma. The National Chairman of Chibok community under the Kibaku Area Development Association, Dr. Pogu Bitrus, disclosed this on Friday at a news conference in Abuja.

9. A group of Higher National Diploma holders in the public service, yesterday, took the federal government to the National Industrial Court, NIC, sitting in Abuja. They are demanding that they are considered for the same entitlement, remunerations and progression in their work places as their counterparts with first degree without any form of discrimination.

10. Some Commissioners in Nyako's cabinet were yesterday attacked by some of his supporters over conspiracy. The Commissioner for Labour and Productivity, Hamidu Lawan, his counterpart in the Ministry of Environmnt, Mrs Arziki Sawa as well as the Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs Lucy Ishaku among other top government officials were among those accused of betraying the Governors, and in turns manhandled. They were accused of conniving with members of the state Assembly to impeach the Governor
