Shehu Adamu moved the motion and it was seconded by Deji Tinubu, before a vote of no confidence was passed on the embattled NFF president.

A communique issued at the end of the meeting state that "the Committee approved the immediate dismissal of Alhaji Aminu Maigari, from the NFF Executive Committee on grounds of financial misappropriation, misapplication and maladministration."

Mike Umeh the second vice president has been appointed as the interim NFF president till August 26, when the Nigeria football general assembly takes place.
