JUSUN to shut down Supreme Court today

THE ongoing strike action by the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) will commence at the Supreme Court today.

JUSUN President, Mallam Marwan disclosed this, on Thursday, stating that the apex court would be shut down, today.

The apex court was allowed to operate while other courts were shut down, following a plea by the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Mariam Aloma Mukhtar to the leadership of JUSUN to allow the court have its last sitting today.

Today is the last day of the court's 2014 calendar year before it proceeds on its annual vacation.

Other courts that pleaded for same latitude would also be shut down, today.
