Ahead of the 2015 general election, the Ekiti State governor-elect, Mr. Ayodele Fayose has declared that no force would be able to stand in the way of President Goodluck Jonathan's re-election.

Fayose stated this yesterday in Lagos at a reception organized by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to celebrate his victory in the just concluded Ekiti State governorship election.

The rally attracted big-wigs of the party including the Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musilu Obanikoro, chairman of the PDP in Lagos State, the Zonal chairman of the party, Chief Ishola Filani, and Chairman, Mobilization Committee of the PDP in South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu.

Fayose stated that those blackmailing President Jonathan are wasting their time, noting that the PDP has both people and the strategy to win the 2015 general election.

While thanking members of Lagos PDP for their support during the election, Fayose said his victory has shown that PDP can reclaim the South-West.

However, he called on the leadership of the party in the zone to guide against imposition, stating that there are enough capable aspirants in the South West to be governors.

"Nothing will stop Jonathan in 2015. Those going about blackmailing Jonathan are wasting their time. We have the strategy. We have the people. We have done it before. We will do it again. We are going to get Lagos", he boasted.

On his part, Obanikoro debunked the allegation that he used his position as minister of state to intimidate voters in Ekiti.

He stated that the election was free and fair, adding that the PDP will win the forthcoming Osun State governorship election because the people of South West have known the truth.

Obanikoro also pleaded with Nigerians to join hands with the Federal Government in the fight against terrorism irrespective of their political inclinations noting that insurgents do not care whether anyone belongs to the PDP or All Progressive Congress (APC) but see all Nigerians as their enemies.

Also speaking at the rally, the chairman of the party in the South West, Filani, expressed delight over the party's victory in Ekiti.

He urged the party members across the South West to replicate the Ekiti feat in Osun and other South West states.

Similarly, Lagos PDP chairman, Mr.  Shelle, congratulated Fayose on his victory, stating that it is remarkable that the Ekiti governor-elect won all the 16 local government areas in Ekiti State.

He said the party will repeat the feat in Lagos.

"We are going to win Lagos 20\20, the way Fayose won Ekiti 16\16", Shelle boasted.
