16-year-old female suicide bomber dies trying blow up Northwest University in Kano

A lone female suicide bomber died in an attempt to bomb, Northwest University in Kano on Sunday, the Nigeria police has said.

Security officials on duty noticed the young girl, who is said to be 16 years, walking towards the gate of the university and they called for reinforcement from female police officers.

SaharraReporters reports that the young woman, who had a bomb concealed inside her hijab, killed herself by detonating her explosives.

Five policemen suffered minor injuries.
