POLICE HANDSOVER SUSPECTED VANDAL TO NSCDC IN ONDO STATE

The Nigeria Police (NP) Ondo State Command handed over a suspected vandal named Tunde Adu, 37 years old, from Sabongida Ora in Edo state.

He was arrested at Ilu Tuntun in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State. He was handed over yesterday 15th of April, 2014 to the Nigeria security and Civil defence Corps, Ondo State Command at Magistrate Court 4 in Olukayode building along Oshinle street in Akure. This was made known in a press statement by ASC 1 Kayode A. Balogun Public Relations Officer of the command.

The Presiding Magistrate Judge F.M Ajayi ruled that Tunde Adu should be handed over to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for proper investigation and prosecution, because the case in question is one of the NSCDC core mandates.

The Magistrate later adjourned the case till 8th of May, 2014.

Following the development, the Commandant of the Corps, Alhaji Waheed Bamidele Popoola urged the good people of Ondo State to help in giving the Corps useful information that will aid in arresting vandals in the state.
