Ondo State Government is set to hold 3-day burial programme for late Samuel Adesina, the former speaker of the House of Assembly, says the House chairman.

Adesina died on  February 25, 2014 at the age of 53 after protracted illness.

Hon. Oyebo Aladetan, the Chairman, House committee on Information, said this on Tuesday when addressing newsmen at the House complex.

Aladetan said that there would be service of song on Wednesday April 23 at the popular Fawehinmi Arcade, Akure.

According to him there will be lying-in state and special ceremony on Thurday in Oniparaga, Odigbo Local Government Area, the late speaker's home town.

He added that the Christian Wake service would come on the same day.

He said that there would be interment service on Friday.

The chairman said that the state government in conjunction with the House of Assembly would provide the necessary things such as logistics, security and welfare of all the well-wishers, adding that the burial would take the nature of Yoruba culture and the tenet of the church.

He emphasised the peaceful coexistence among the people of the state which was orchestrated by the government efforts and appreciated the effort of the late speaker towards peace in the state.
