The Niger State Secretariat, located in Minna was thrown into a state of pandemonium following the discovery of an object suspected to be Improvised Explosive Device (IED).

Workers at the secreatriat ran for safety after a group of people discovered a bottle containing some unidentified substances they suspected to be explosives.
A team of anti-bomb squad from the state comman of the Nigerian Police was quickly dispatched to the secretariat in response to a distress call from some senior civil servants at the secretariat.
An Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr. Emmanuel Olokor led the anti-bomb squad to the scene, but it was later discovered that the object was not a bomb.
Olokor emptied the content of the bottle before members of the public and urged them to go about their lawful businesses.
