For the second time in 2-weeks, the ward congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state turned violent as some aggrieved party faithful stormed the venue of the party's ward congress at Oba-Ile, Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State was, on Wednesday.

Recall, that the APC had, early last week, postponed its ward congress in Ondo state, after several reports of violence at Isikan Ward 2, in Akure South Local Government where a group shot dead a member of the party and left many others injured, six people were also reported to have been hospitalised in Ondo town and another 10 were seriously injured at Ilu-titun Ward 1 in Okitipupa Local Government Area, while the congress did not hold in 11 wards in Akure North LGA due to violence.

The congress where Party executives would be elected was underway at Oba-Ile in Akure North LGA, when hoodlums numbering four, stormed the venue of the congress with sophisticated weapons and started shooting sporadically to scare party members away from the venue.

However, it took the intervention of men of the Nigerian Police Force Oba-Ile division and reinforcement from other formations to restore normalcy in the area.

Meanwhile, the party could not continue with the congress after the disruption, as people at the venue had already scampered for safety.
